it's not a difficult job to stiff the tanks of DEAD fish...it's not too much to setup a QT tank for sick fish. petco has setup hospital tanks for their rodents & reptiles. it irrational economics - they would rather "treat" a $2.99 hamster instead of a $29.99 yellow tang. go figure. i'd bet they rely on grooming & dry foods to offset the small percentage of their SW losses. i feel bad for the fishes b/c i doubt segrest farms will hold their customers responsible for not treating their livesstock properly. :irked: & :anger2:

My boss was telling me about the guy who supplies petco with their saltwater fish. I forget the name, but he once met the guy and he said he was the biggest dirt bag in the world. He is totally blind to money, totally untrustworthy. Petco is just trying to save money because they are going with the cheaper importers who dont really care for the animals at all.

I have doubts if ORA is really the supplier. The new clowns I see at Petco are just not ORA quality. A lot of their fish also just come in looking very unhealthy. I've never seen a healthy looking porci puffer or burrfish come into Petco. I try to go on the days they get new fish because I want to buy anything I want from the bag and before it goes in their tanks.

So many come in looking half dead not just from shipping stress.

The porks do not come from ora, but there is def. ora fish. Mostly clowns. Check the boxes out on delivdate. 3 diff suppliers. Or 4.
