Lol, I'm taking my time with this one. Plus we're doing some work on the house and I'm not sure if I'm going to wait until that's all done. Could be a few months unfortunately. But I'm not sure if I can wait that long!

i just bought at Elos 160 Used set it up and love it, the only pet pewe of mine is that the ribbed tubing, has anyone hard plumbed this with PVC if so please let me know what size bulk head for the overflow , because the noise is louder than usual.

Ribbed tubing is normally not ribbed on the inside, so it shouldn't make any more noise than regular tube. However, you can also buy the black or clear, colorless tubing from your local hardware store and it should work.

There aren't normal overflows on the Elos tanks I've seen in person. Are there actual bulkheads on the Elos 160?

well at the top of the overflow there is that square PVC type thing that screws in between a galss with a hole i was thinking just replace that witha regular bulk head and hard plumb it which is a lot better than tubing.

I know that wouldn't work on the Midi or Mini. If that works and you want to do it, go for it. Hard plumbing can be louder or more quiet than tubing. Kinda depends (and isn't really on topic). Up to you!

What's going on dude? I think the main reason why I'm looking is because of the overflow issue I caused a few months ago. It's still annoying me daily. But anyway I'm not sure yet on the new tank. Maybe a system 70 or 100 if the right deal comes along.

still the same i have the reefoman 60 g that i got love the tank but going all sps now so thinking of upgrading but not sure yet .......i hate this hobby lmfao
