From what I have heard and the few sections I have read, that is a very good book.Ok, so it's been a while since i posted in this thread, and while i was on the plain to spain today, i took the time to read a book Kathy gave me, "The Conscentious Marine Aquarist" and took all the advice that you guys gave me in here, and i will pass on the Wrasse. I didn't know that they were going to be so fiesty and a pain in the tank, but i know i want a wrasse because of their colors and their movements and everything. I didn't want to cover the tank, but it seems that doing that will be the wisest choice. I looked at the chapter they had on wrasses in the book, and i also did some research online, and i came across a few wrasses that i like. I know some of them are not reef safe, others have to be monitored, and that there are others that you have to be careful with if you have any kind of invertebrate in your tank. So here's the list of the wrasses that for a reason or another i liked, and i hope that with everyone's opinion and insight, i can get the best fish for my needs.

I'm set on the flame, i know some of you have suggested against getting it, but it's the first fish i wanted in my tank, and i was smart enough not to get it back then, but i feel like now i can finally have it in my tank. It will be the last fish i add there!
now for the wrasses you want
a.not sure
b.to big for your tank/not reef safe in that it will eat small inverts like shrimp
c.not sure
d.way to big and the adult, while being my favorite looking fish,is very aggresive and not reef safe, moves rocks and eats small inverts
e.think this one gets to big
f.not sure
g.I've seen pretty big ones in the caribbean
f.not sure
As for the angel, a coral beauty is relatively the same but a bit more hardy if you were perhaps looking for some blue/purple in your tank.
As for the 6 line,I had one(second in the tank) and it never bothered anything except a royal gramma but it was just for a few days(after putting in the gramma) to show some dominance and then they where fine,I plan on getting one of these guys becuase of all the pests they can potentialy rid from my tank.
If your still looking for fish then a royal gramma is a nice combo with a flame angel and easy to keep.
I havent had experiance with these but pseudochromis and dartfish might also be what your looking for.
