Yeah I guess it is. Especially when you gotta spend $1000 to $1500+. Not everyone is a baller.
man, I hate the urge to have the latest and greatest. its like a virus that bugs you untill you just pull the trigger lol (Apple affect)
So the Vega's and the Radions could both be ran in larger tanks? lets say 24' deep? im upgrading to a 120-150 within the year and want to start planning out the lighting. how many would I need to run for a 48X24X24 120?
I love it when people get the first defective run on things lol i will sit back and wait till all the problems are resolved.......suckas lol j/k .....no im not lol
are the vegas good for growth? im new to reef-keeping, and im looking for a great light to use
AI users will say that AI is better and Radion users will say that Radions are better. This debate will go on forever. Im in between the 2 and tagging along. I will soon pull the trigger on one of them. Im still a Halide guy.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Reefs
I have had both AI Sols and a Radion lighting my tank at the same time..
I used to swear by Ai sols until I installed my radion with the TIR lense. If you compare wattage/coverage per dollar, the radion isnt as insanely priced as everyone thinks. I just got a brand new radion for 625.
That being said last Sunday I went to Maximum Reef Aquatics to pick up some sps because they received a large shipment. I was talking to some guy who saw the Vegas in action and he told me that they blew the radions away, however I later found out that his tank was lit by AI SOLs. So he could just be on the Aqua Illumination Side, but I am curious to see how they look. I hope Im not kicking myself for buying this new radion instead of two vegas.
so can you guys tell me why the radions cost more.
