This is DrCooper's old cube I'm finally setting up six months after i bought it.

36" custom stand was made by latino277. Amazing stand.

I had to put the skimmer in the sump since I found out it has cracks and has a leak in the recirc pump. So I had to dremel the lip on the sump in order to fit this massive skimmer in. It's rated for 120g and its in a 40g. Going to give it a go with a MJ1200 supply pump.

24x24x16, the stand is 38" high. It's great since im 6'2 and i dont have to bend over to look in the tank.

Yes, I ordered a new fixture and it came to me broke, and i didnt like the design of it. I decided to pick up a ATI sunpower 24"x6. I also picked up a reef keeper lite. The tank is filled with fresh water, I just need to add salt and fill the sump. Hopefully nothing leaks.

Agh, so as I was filling it I noticed the overflow plumbing leaking.

To fix it I had to cut off tubing and some PVC. I need more pvc now and a new 1" Elbow.

Lesson learned, even if you used a hammer to brutally fit a piece of pvc into an elbow, YOU NEED TO USE GLUE.

I need to clean up the wires and re-hang the fixture. ATI fixtures come in metric - so it's a pain in the ass to find anything that fits for it. I had to drill out a 1/4" toggle bolt to fit the screw in.

The ammonia is at 1.5, so we are well on our way!

question, on the drain pipe on the skimmer i see there is a cap on top of it. is there a hole drilled in it ?
