Yeah, I dunno why. I have carbon/GFO running. I do 10g a week water changes and feed every other day normally. I have a pair of clowns, leopard wrasse and a blenny. Im not currently running macro algae though. I dont know if thats it. Otherwise, I have no idea.

Figured it out. My DAS skimmer has a maxijet 900 as the intake, it got clogged and didnt produce skimmate for like 3 weeks. I cleaned it and started getting skim right away.

Any suggestions on a pump that will not get clogged? Ive always had issues with maxijets clooging very easily.

Can you run the MJ 1200 on it? Also is there anyway you can get a filter sock so it won't clog? I've run maxi jets as feed pumps on many skimmers and haven't had an issue with clogging yet (knock on wood).

It is a MJ1200. All it has is that little plastic grill/strainer thing on the inlet that comes with it.

Good idea with the sock. I might just tie a sock around the entire pump and clean it every so often. Thanks dude.

You said 900 lol. Anyway, you can take the stupid plastic grill/strainger off and run it like that. The strainer allows too many little granules to get it clogged.

Ive had nothing on it before and the intake gets clogged with stray cheato and basicly anything. ill give it a go and post some new videos in a week or so.

*UPDATE*

Just ordered a AquaIllumination 24" Sol Super Blue 2xModule LED Light System w/ Controller to replace my ATI Sunpower. Ill be doing a setup video for it.

I feel like the T5s have always been some what lacking as compared to MH and LEDs. So Im going to just go for it. Getting two blue modules and the hanging wires.

Anyone looking for a ATI Sunpowered 6x24" with 4 month old bulbs for $375, LMK.
