Thanks Paulie! You think the Sunset will get deeper red if I drop it a bit? It's already 3/4 down in tank.
I actually picked up another frag at NERAC yesterday from Jason Fox. Supposed to be the "Original" Sunset Monti. The base is a deep red with small green polyps. He said to blast it with light. It's a small frag so I'll have to see how it does.
Very cool build and beautiful new additions. I am in the process of a slow 180 gallon build as well and would love to see some additional pics of your sumps including the one in the stand. Am trying to get ideas for my new build. I see many folks using mangroves in sumps as well and wonder what the advantages are to using them in addition to macro algae?

Thanks allen and btldreef. I would recommend getting Mangroves with leaves already. I purchased the Magrove pods from Reefcleaners.com and while they have grown many roots, I have no leaves!
Also, as far as nutrient export I have read that we are better off using cheato.
This little guy is a wild Aussie Blue Echinata. It's small, but the picture does not do it justice. In the backround is a Original Strawberry Shortcake frag.
wow you got a great set up going. i like how you got the sump on the floor below. i feel like it makes everything less noisy and a lot easier to work with
