What are gutter guards ?

They prevent snails, crabs, fish, inverts from crawling/swimming into overflows.

ok guys here is some updated pics of my tank.. i no alot of you been asking me were are the pics so here we go... im still not 100% happy with it but its getting there... the tank really looks awesome so i cant really complain... at least i can get these colored sticks to grow a little :lol2:

by the way the 2 white pieces of rock u see in the full tank shot are dead live rock that i have cleaned off and put to use... i figured i need more surface area for more frags that i will eventually get...

i also made a couple of other changes..

locline return for inside the tank (took out the ugly white pvc :bablefish finally)
changed my return pvc to spa flex hose....

well here are some pics enjoy guys and as always keep the thread alive and let me no how what ya think.... i still got some work to do... thanks

Very nice T. Only 3.5 days of prep work left :wink1: . Get off the computer and get back to work. Gotta be perfect when we get there!

BTW, through all the PM's circulating it seems everyone is going to be bringing you frags of hairspray :lol2:

Tony your pics are getting better! Do you have any manual options on your camera? Try playing around with shutter speed and light focal points...If you slow down your shutter speed, your pics will prolly look less pixelated because you're allowing more lights in....however you wont be able to capture yor corals in motion. Increasing your shutter speed does the opposite... Play around with it :) and also use a photo touch up program. I use Google Picaso, and suprisingly, it does a good job without distorting the colors.
Me is no expert, heck I don't even know if I used the right terminologies... maybe some camera gurus can correct me :D
