Yup if you wanna keep it simple, buy some gutter guard and silicone it to the piece of glass where the baffle overflows...that way it all stays and you dont have to cut teeth .

The first baffle next to any compartment is the one that controls the water level. Therefore, the first baffle needs to start at the bottom and go up from there.

Water is always going to take the path of least resistence. Using a 'T' the water will flow straight past the 'T' (for the most part).

Using a wye the water is split in the pvc fitting to push it through both 'legs' of the wye (not quite evenly, but much moreso than in a 'T').
