The Green LR looks pretty cool- I can't decide if I like it over the purple coraline rock though- it adds a lot of character to the tank- makes it stand out a little more!
Thanks house, reefer....i want purple rocks but then again...how many tanks do u seen with green rocks that doesn't look like a forest? I'm learning to just accept it but I do see spots of purple here and there
Jenny do you want the elongata or the pompom? I'll see if I can get you both on the same rock, I have to get the disc from Kimoyo...that reminds me.
a small frag of both would be great i had some, but when my tank got hot i lost it. i had the greenish blue kind that was soooo pretty, but that got lost too
Been awhile since my last update. Two of my snails died and stank up the whole tank and caused an algae bloom. On top of that, my shrimp molted and the shell was rotting somewhere. All while I went to Philly for the weekend. I did a 50% water change and replaced the poly-filter pad and chemi-pure. I also played around with the powerheads to see if I can get more flow becuase I had a few dead spots from the previous positioning. Little casualties like these wreck havoc on my small tank. :bigeyes2: I moved some of my corals around as well. My zoo's werent doing so well from my last update and I dipped them for 15 mins in Lugols. So many pods floated up. Since then, the zoas are looking healthier and opening up more. Right now, I'm trying to save up some money to upgrade my lights to Tek T-5 and add some new livestock. My corals are still opening when I took these shots.
I'm using the Rio 180, smallest I can find. Yeah, I want to try the Seio's but .... why fix something that aint broke. However, the upgrade flow would be sweet. Right now I'm saving up to buy new Tek T-5s
Anywho....bored so took some pics of hammer from Gerry and hermits from Rabbi Deep.
btw....notice the spots of coraline on the rock in the right side of second pic?....yeahhhh babie it's the beginning of something spectacular.
hahaha I didnt stretch the pics at all, actually had to resize it smaller down to 640x480. My tanks just looks big cuase the corals are so close to the glass. It's only 8 inches width and 8 inches height, 24 long. So a pretty panoramic view and eaasy picture taking.
OK, got 5 hermits yesterday. Acclimated them, put them in the tank, and they started going to work. Today, I can only find 4....3 is still in the shell and one is....you can see from the pics. :irked::headache:
