UPDATE!!

Added some pond matrix to my sump tonight. Now I know your thinking "What the hell is pond matrix and why is Ant adding pond stuff to his reef system?" lmao

Anthony thats exactly what I was thinking...LOL and secondly I though they would act just like bio-balls, but after reading the links it looks like it may help. ..tagging along.

You have a nice setup here. Great looking tank.

I use pond matrix in my QT tanks. It does colonize a large amount bacteria. Have been using it in the 75G and 125G QT for 6 months now. So far so good.

Nice! This stuff colonizes bacteria way better than regular bio balls.
The matrix can handle in 1 liter what 170 liters of bio balls can.
