My tangs are very fat.

And finally, the sump changed a bit. I stopped using the "refugium" section. it was not helping and was so tall and narrow that detritus just settled in it. Bad design on my part. THe skimmer is still rocking though, there is something about these conical skimmers that really works.

Hey I'm glad to see the tank is coming along... hope the corals are doing better!

Quick question: how high is your MH fixture suspended above the top of your tank? Looks to be a good 12+ inches? Do you have your fans set to come on at a certain temp threshold?

Keep up the great work!

Thanks.
The fixture is up higher than 12" actually, more like 14" or so. Its a strong light with radiums and it bleached some of my corals, so it stays up high until everything comes back around. I have fans in the sump that are programmed with the aquacontroller to come on automatically. Works well...but only when the temperature probe is working (as I found out).

Yeah that makes sense.

That sinks regarding the probe though... I'm also using the aquacontroller (junior) and so far the probe seems ok. I'm guessing you have lots of triggers in your program set to turn various components on and off in case the probe flakes out again?

Are you running a chiller? I've been through your thread lots of times and don't recall you mentioning one.

I also have an AO tank! Much smaller though.. only about 20 gallons but I love it. I just hooked up my new fixture and that thing throws some serious heat :)
