So you had the SAME tank setup for two years and you have good coraline growth on rocks and overflow but NO coraline anywhere on the glass?? :scratchch:scratchch

How long you had the four hippo tangs in your tank?(looks like a 72 bow).

this is a 72g bow tank. i do have coraline on the glass but very little. just use the magflow to clean it twice a week. like i said before, the only thing i do different from other reefer is the canister and skimmerless. i really don't know why the tank so clean. i had the tangs for 6 months from different lfs. its hard to get the right size. micro, little, medium and giant. usually the giant chase the medium, medium to little and little to micro. poor micro. they get along pretty good. one thing that i don't like them is nipping my acans.

I have seen his tank and tangs, the biggest one is only 3-4 inch, and the rest are from 2 to 1 inch. Everyone looks heathly, so there nothing be concerned about. I was only joking when I said i am reporting it to tang police... Not!:tongue1:

It would be fine if fish didn't grow. But hippos can grow to be 12 inches...

In this tank they will probably die before they get to be that big.

You are probably right about that. Strangely in my 75g both my yellow and a hippo tang grew only less than 1/2 inch in 3 years. I only fed them once a day, maybe thats why.
