It is under a 250w helios 20k. IME with the PM, when it gets to be that lighter looking purple it grows pretty fast. I had a big colony in my old 120 that was dark purple but grew very little. It does look better with a deeper purple color though.

Not much to update. I recently broke down the tank to fully eradicate AEFW's I removed all rocks with encrusted bases and scraped off any living parts. All acros were dipped in coral revive several times over a period of a week. If I didn't get them all this time I am trashing the tank!
Good news all acros are still doing fine but it will take a month or two for them to put a foot down and get that grown in look. I will post new pics in the mext month or so.

The corals are starting to look normal again so I took a few pics. The tank looked better 2 months ago but I'm confident it will look better than ever in the next few months.

M'akoyPinoy thanks dude. I don't think I would have trashed the tank but I would have cut everything down to small frags and start over. Glad it didn't come to that :)

Ricky and Awilda, thanks :)

Kris, I moved some stuff around to make more room for corals to grow. Your purple cap is more towards the back but it has more room to grow and gets direct light.

Thanks Dan. I'm glad my older posts have helped you in some way. Soon I will setup a larger tank again but for now I have to be responsible and spend money where it is needed first.

This BB tank will be mostly SPS. I used some mixed live rock along with a few dead pieces of tonga branch. The idea behind the aquascape was to allow for plenty of flow while having lots of places to glue frags with room for growth. I want to make this tank grow! Just because it is small doesn't mean I have to have small corals :).

The tank was just setup today. The whole setup was purchased from Pnoyreefer. Right now I have an Aqua C remora skimmer, a phosban reactor (offline at the moment), Tunze nano power head and 2 MJ 900's for flow, 50w heater, 150w 14k Phoenix.

The changes I plan on making will start with a skimmer change. Probably going to get a Deltec MCE 600. I will probably add a controller for lighting + auto top off. I really don't want all these powerheads in the tank so I will change the flow to something else......not sure yet. Ideas?

Anyway. Here is the tank tonight. Pretty lifeless and cloudy at the moment. Not for long though:)
