I also cut out the tile grout and installed a leak detector from the Neptune Apex in front of the 500 gallon tank and regrouted the wire under the floor. That’s the first place water pools up if I have a leak

I filled the tank with sand and saltwater and added cycled media from my other tanks

Wow! I’m loving the angle on that tank, I usually don’t like angled tanks but on that 500 gallon it looks amazing! Good luck with it!

The plumbing for the closed loop looks kinda close to the light fixtures though. Are you planning to "hide" it? What pump do you have driving it? Any need for additional powerheads?

I have a Vectra L2 running the closers loop, as for the pipes I’m not planning on hiding them l don’t really mind look of it. As far as flow it’s good for now I might have to add some more flow as the corals grow in.

Was busy today making custom screen lids. Old lid was glass made new ones from an extra sheet of 1/2” acrylic I had around

You just used the acrylic as a frame for the mesh screen?

Yes I cut the grove in the acrylic with a router table and installed the mesh using window spline. I also glued the spline in so it could not pop out.

Added some more fish and a clean up crew now that the dry rock and sand has had a little bit of time to grow some algae on it
