235 Gallon Flat Back Hexagon

Tank was up and running as a freshwater moved fish to a bigger 500 gallon and will now combine my two smaller reef tanks in to one. I have made my 125 gallon tank into the new sump.

Sump will have a refugium section (far right) return pumps in the middle than the skimmer section and then a wet dry/ bio filter section

Tank is 8 feet wide 2 feet deep & 2 feet tall. Piping on top is for the closed loop system

middle pump will run the manifold two outer ones are the return pumps

Closed loop pump will sit on shelf on back side of the wall

second outlet from pump will go straight to the sink for fast water change

Is that vectra going to be supported by anything? The one hanging behind the tank? I'd be worried about vibrations and any stress on the bulkheads there

the only possible problem I see is if/when the Vectra has to be replaced there isn’t a valve on the inlet side. You’ll have to bring the water level down below the bulkhead .... other than that it’s looking good.

I wanted to put a ball valve but I didn’t have the room behind the tank so the bulkhead I used has threads so I can in screws the strainer and screw in a cap

Got the rest of the bio balls

Installed new Lifegard Fluidized bed filter also installed the new Kessil H160 Tuna Flora on the refugium

Drilled a 12mm hole in the glass and installed an adjustable float that will be connected to the RODI to control the sump water level

Also installed 36 watt turbo twist UV sterilizer

Put some white acrylic on the back and sides of the sump to hide any wires that run behind it

Very nice setup so far.....neatness does count....and yours looks great. I'm a little confused...in the first post you said you moved the fish to a 500 gallon tank.....so that's another tank you have in addition to this new 235 gal tank?

Work has been a little crazy so tank was on hold, but I was off last week so I was able to get some work done on the tank and lights

Also got the rock work done

Lights mounted on DYI rack
