I might be stopping by canal plastics for a small colored piece for myself T. I had like 10 12x12 pieces of various colors for a project somewhere....i just can't find them anywhere....I know they are around somewhere.....

LMK T. Can always pick u up a piece and drop it off at the verz bridge on my way to coney island when i do get myself the pieces.

If i can find the ones i got i can drop it off no charge, as long as you get it covered =0P If i goto stop by canal i think they charge 2-5$ for a 12x12. Dunno for 100% but its cheap for the 1/8 inch colored. Got like 15 of them and payed 20$ or so last time i was there.

cali i took the durso's off to clean inside that area and found that i dont need that durso since i have it dialed down so much... it stays at that level with no suction noises  :)... less flow through the sump is better...

aight guyz... tank breakdown is gonna happen on thursday :theyareon... couple of things that i need to redo.... 1st is im changing out the esv sand  that seems to be an alk monster.... im changing it out for reg. aragonite sand.....

other things im doing

-either putting black foam on the back glass to hide the center overflow

-putting a blue acrylic to hide the overflow (i would just use reg. gel glue since silicone glue would take to long to cure)

-re doing all the rock work but leaving the pillar maybe ill work around that... something like leaving the pillar right in the middle and put rest of the rock work to the left and right of the pillar ...

any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.... if i cant get that black pond foam im going to have to settle for the home depot stuff.... :(...

wish me luck guys... pics of work in action will be taken.... nick you ready man :sigh:

I have seen that esv sand and it just doesn't do it for me. I feel like it's de-icer. This better be a temporary breakdown, lol.

Good luck homie...Make sure you have a wetvac!

Tony, good luck with the breakdown. Do it right this time. Wait for the black foam. You don't have to have the tank broken down to add it. You can add it after you rescape, and remove the sand.

Practice what you preach, show patience. Order the foam now, and add it on Monday next week or whenever it comes in. I've seen both foams. There is no comparison between the two. You'll be glad you waited.
