That is esv fine grain sand, it's no longer that white.
I took that photo right after adding it, it is blinding white when new.
Since then it has calmed down and looks a bit more normal.

Are any of your gobies pairs? I understand they lay their eggs in gorgs..any activity?

Also love the pics of your smushies, not sure how I missed those! :) Make sure Mocha is still there after my next visit....


oh..I picked up 2 buckets of the Coralife salt tonight..I'll also let you know how it does on cyano...

oh..I picked up 2 buckets of the Coralife salt tonight..I'll also let you know how it does on cyano...

Kathy I switched to coralife after a discussion with Jason at GA and immediately (within 1 week) hair algae starting to die off and red cyano die off!

Kathy, I've not seen any eggs, but a pair has taken up residency in the green slimer and will chase away any fish that comes close to it. with the exception of the pipefish, everybody in the tank ignores them.

an update shot. so much has changed in my tank I should start a new tank thread.
I've changed almost all the equipment, rid the tank of cynobacteria, the auriga butterfly has eaten all the visible aiptasia, and I've added a massive clean up crew to eradicate the bubble algae.

rich thanks, if you notice the colors in the middle are great. that's a new coralife 14K DE they have been under, what a difference.
