the tank looks awesome. are you still using 10k bulbs. you are getting some serious growth

yes 10K's I tired a new 12K but it did not mix well with the icecap ballasts,
I'll stick with the 10K's till it's time to switch.
by the way I've got not actinics, these shots were all 10K only.
I really need to put the actinics back on the tank. I took them off when I put the luminarcs in.

Randy I've always used SE. Maybe I would try DE someday, I just never want to spend the money to switch the pendants and bulbs

No reason to switch. I was just curious. If you had DE, I was going to suggest the Ushio 14K as an alternative to setting up the actinics again. I absolutely love these lamps on Icecaps.

jhov, most of the coral is acropora, they get along for the most part.
the zoa's and LPS chemicals are filtered by the pound of GAC I change each month.

Hey J, its looking great! Just wondering what the coral in this pic is? I got that same one from the swap but its starting to bleach a bit. Need to find out what its requirements are.

the right lighting and alot of time. Took my red one a good month and a half before i noticed any change in its health and colors. Its super slow in coloring up. Keep placing it in different medium light levels and low light levels and good flow.

Vance, That is Pavona maldivensis and it is proving pretty tough to keep. Lower light seems best.
