Hey Eric, thanks. Sorry I didn't see this post until now. I ended up going with the BK 200 mini RD3. It's been running about a week now. I have it running on the wet side, but it's definitely pulling more than the skimz, and it's totally silent. Now that I own a BK, I can see what all the fuss is about. Quality really is second to none.... just in case you want to smash it around in your sump :/

30hrs running. Really stinks. Wife is chewing me out:shhh:

Buy a cheap carbon filter pad and cut them in squares tiles to cover the air outlets on the top of the skimmer to remove the smell. It works for me and change out when the odor comes back. Believe there are 4 holes on top.

I added 2 Blue Reefbrites to the Sfiligoi hood. Nice added pop. Now I officially run halide, T5, and LED ;)

It's been a while since I updated. The tank has been doing very well. I removed a few colonies and fragged some stuff to allow for more growth from my nicer pieces. I also changed the scape a little to eliminate shading.

Recent Equipment changes

-Changed to a BK 200 RD3 skimmer (Kicking butt)
-Added another eb8
-added apex auto feeder
-added gyre 130 in addition to 3 mp40. Good flow now!
-Change from 400w 20k Radium to 400w Aquaconnect 14k. Tank is less blue and growth has exploded. I still like the look of the radium overall but the corals sure have responded to the AC bulb
-Upgraded T5 ballast in Sfiligoi hood to a VUE 660. Overdriving T5 heavily now. Bulbs will probably not last more than 4-6 months but to me, the increased output is worth it. BIG difference!

I took out the old nikon D40 the other night. Here's a few pics. Excuse the frag rack, they will be gone soon ;)

Mike (Zuska), yep this is the fastest growth I ever had. On average small frags turn to mini colonies in 6 months, and 4" + colonies in a year. Heavy feeding + heavy lighting. Corals such as hawkins echniata when from a 1" frag to an 8" colony in 15 months. Pearl berry from a booger to 5" colony in 15 months, Tyree PM from nub to 3" colony in a year.

Thanks MikeC :)

Jim, if you're in my area lmk ;)

Mike and DK that two little fishes reborn calcium reactor media. I just sprinkled some in the other day in high flow areas where the sand moves around. So far so good. it's staying put even with vortechs running 100%.

Luke, It was thinner for a few weeks lol :) Growth has been crazy :)
