Very nice on the frag rack. Now go, and get something done about covering up the sump area before your wife has to tell you twice.LOL
looking great diego...looking forward to seeing this in person, possibly today if i pick up that sump? make sure to call me when you get home
Diego.. one question.. do you have both reactor connected to one pump? and what pump are you using?
Here are some shots... THe pipe work will be shown another day as i still have a mess and have not fully connected everything neatly as it should be. So cut me slack!... lol
The second tank pics will be shown next week one i get the bulb from wingo.
The tanks look absolutely amazing, Love the concept & especially YOUR execution...
My setup shares the same drain/return combo on my cube. my shallow tank has an overflow box but my cube has just a strainer, having an anemone and a strainer proved to be a bad combination for me...
One day i came home to a disaster.. My perfectly healthy, happy? [i thought so] anemone decided to take a walk into the drain. He ended up clogging the strainer by going halfway inside the drain - causing a flood of 5+ gallons on my 2nd floor hardwood floors. which caused a lot of damage to the floors and the ceiling.
I still dont understand how he got into it, its mind boggling but it happened.
I just figured i would open your eyes to it if you haven't realized it. If i didnt come home my 20 gallon sump would have been drained. luckily it was only around 5-6 gallons...
Im looking to add some sort of a cutoff alarm or something to the right tank to prevent anything like it happening in the future [i removed all anemones in that tank!!]
I added mesh as well. But the bottom line for me was how the hell did he manipulate his body to fit. He could potentially just perch/mount/set foot on it and ruin the return/drain ratio and potentially overflow it. He doesn't necessarily have to enter it to mess things up. Right now I have both mesh and Eggcrate creating an unsightly "barrier" .. Still not fail proof.
I know they sell mini float switch that could be mounted by drilling a hole or mounting to acrylc. That's my plan.
