Alright here is my prob!
I had recently purchased 2 percula clowns, 1 bi-color blenny, 2 firefish from saltwater.com. the first day was just fine i acclimated them in about 3 hours time by dripping my tank water into a seperate 20Gal. holding this little guys. i put them into the tank with lights off for a day. lights came on the second day at set time and tried feeding a little brine shrimp and pellet food. they did not eat much as expected. the only one who showed thier faces was the 2 clowns(sticking together), bi-color blenny(found a home), and 1 firefish who looked like he had a rough night in his new home, he was a little beat up on the head. this being the 3rd day now with the tanks new inhabitants i am starting to see some strange behavior from one of my clowns. he looks like he got beat up also (little head wounds) and he is breathing rapidly and now hiding in the back of the tank. the firefish are M.I.A, only 1 clown and the bi-color blenny are the one's who are taking this new home in with out any problems.
the 55G tank has been up and running for 3 months now. i cycled it out with a 110 lbs. of live rock and added a 3in sand bed. the only additives i have been using are kent essiential elements, and fiji gold live rock and coral suppliement for stabilizing p.h and calcium

The others who occupy this tank are:
10 hermits
25 astreas
10 nassiaures "dont know how to spell that"
1 serpent star

tank specs:
55 Gal. drilled

2 175 watt 14K MH/ 2 110 watt actinic VHO's

A few things that come to mind...

Aggression seems most likely to me. Have you seen any signs of aggression between the blenny and the others, particularly the firefish?

Because you have Fiji rock and you describe the fish as looking beat-up, I doubt it would be a mantis, but do you ever hear any clicking noises coming from the tank?

Out of curiosity, how large is the serpent star?

I think that the serpent star may be the probable cause. They will try to grab fish while they are sleeping, this is why I do now have one. The green ones seem to be the worst for this.

The clowns were hanging out right next to the blenny and the one soul survivour still hangs out right next him. I think it is kind of wierd how they just hang out on one side of the tank though. They will wounder off to the other side but I guess they feel safe in that spot? I have never heard and ticking sound coming from my tank. My serpent star I would say is no more than 3.5 to 4 inches across. I thought they were peacefull from all that I have read?
Still no FF but I read another forum about strange fish behavior and one person said they had FF that he had'nt seen for about week or two and got a new one and the old FF came shooting out of the rocks and got killed by the new FF. So there is still a little hope but I am not going to hold my breath.
