Yes run carbon with the pellets. And when you first start the pellets you can still run the gfo for a month or two

how often do you change them and whats the ratio of pellets to water voulme. Your tank looks great

First you need a good reactor to flow throw the pellets. The pellets you don't change you only add if needed as for how much to use that depends on what brand pellets your using. You always want to start off with a low amount of pellets first then in a month or two add the amount needed for the tank

Im using NP - Reducing Bio Pellets from Marine Depot, My system is 400g total and I have ruffly 800ml in a reactor for the last 4 months. I have another 200ml that I can add then Im out of stock.

Np is 500ml for 100g so you need 2000ml in your reactor for your size tank. So you need to add 1200ml to your reactor with what you have now
