I dought a calcium reactor that was never used.Bulbs, ballasts to name a few. Not to mention countless fish and corals. How about you guys? The worse piece of crap you ever bought.

coralife skimmer from petland, coralife PC fixture, an MTC air stone driven skimmer (but MTC makes other GREAT stuf!!), bottles upon bottles of liquids to dose (all you really need is cal, alk, mag)

paid my non reefer friends to watch my tank for a few days (nothing crazy! top off, throw in a pinch of pellets! call me if something is exploding!). He accidentally knocked a 3/4 of a container of food in the tank and assumed the fish would just gorge on it. Crashed my whole tank- lost all of my fish, clams, sps, most lps, beautiful huge yumas I won in the MR auction, expensive chalice...the whole nine. The only things that survived were some nondescript zoas, some snails and a peppermint shrimp. :sigh:

I regret buying into the reef HYPE... buy equipment you can afford, that works, everything else is marketing that makes people rich and drains your wallet.

Don't believe/buy the HYPE !
