Nothing like a few sliders after a night of binge drinking. Steamed beef just sounds awful, but once you add that bed of onions, it becomes heavenly. Not to mention it is the best laxative in the world. I have grumbles in my stomach just thinking about it.


This is a post to praise White Castle, if the wording was unclear.

I have to chime in here with my .04 cents.

1. This thread has made me crave a real burger so I am trying out this new spot near me that looks promising, 5 choices of bun and they have about 10 cheeses to pick from, I agree with Eddie, blu cheese is only for people with tiger blood and adonis dna who are winners. I picked a medium rare burger with blu cheese and an olive bun with sweet potato fries and I will be having a trader joes oatmeal stout with it. :) yum yum.

2. white castle is the grossest food I have ever put in my stomach (and then has left quickly afterwards), I really don't know how people enjoy it. It's an 1/8 of an inch thick and tastes like cardboard... wet, hot cardboard. Thinking about it is making me nauseous. Russ, I lost some respect for you here. I know it is the oldest burger chain in the country but come on, have some dignity man! ;)

I've had a Jackson Hole burger from 64th street and I agree it wasn't that great. For good burger try Billy's Giants Hamburgers in Jackson Hole Wyoming.

I also agree White Castle sliders are good but they're not real hamburgers. Kind of like how peperoni isn't really meat, just beeks and feet and stuff.

Sliders, Ugh. In college ate a 10 pack while a bit drunk and yakked them back up. Still can't stomach them.

In N Out. YEAH! best fast food burger, hands down. Close second is 5 Guys.


Jackson Hole qualifies as a "Bar Burger" to me. I've ate at the one on the Upper East, and one further downtown. Fine burger, but not worth a trip across the borough.
For a great bar burger, there's a bar in midtown called "Social" Really good burgers.

Secret burger joint in Manhattan has a kickass burger. So does the bar at The London.

Home made, I go for half turkey, half pork, some fatback, ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper, olive oil and secret spices. Grill it on the Foreman or take them to the bar for BBQ night.

White castle's a true tri state party animal snack pak. I never yacked up a white castle and hell add jalepeno peeprs on 1 of them sliders and watch out baby pure heaven.
