I'm trying to get a website up and running- and have just bought NetObjects Fusion. Its a pretty good program imho for someone not an html wiz (yet :) ).

I have a question on editing new pages- every page looks just like the parent site- and I can't edit on without changing everything! Does anyone know how to unlink these pages so that I can edit them each independently, but when I want a universal change (say in the master border) it will change every page?

Or just direct me to where in the help guide to look it up? Thanks!

arg- i still can't figure it out! I can't find a way to unlock the child pages from the parent!

Emailed tech support yesterday- hopefully they get back to me soon!

how is dream weaver to work with? I am assuming it requires much more html knowledge, etc. I wish I had kept up with that stuff - back in high school I knew more about html than I do now!

well I want to start an e-commerce site that would use shopping carts, direct payment to paypal, etc. on a secure site--- don't think i want to bother learning that kind of html right now. its not hard to do w/ net objects, i've made a basic single page site- but it is killing me not knowing how to unlink these pages!

oh cool, i had one of those that i sold my turtles, tortoises, and birds off of, a whiles ago, but it wasn't a secure site since paypal takes care of the "shopping cart" and payment securely anyway. i did it from raw html code once i realized i needed to cut and past paypal codes anyway for each buy button and so on.

my host only costed $10 a year.

the problem you're having with the pages not detaching from parent page i had also and i just gave up and deleted netobjects and sold the cd on ebay. lol sorry. good luck.

Dreamweaver requires virtually no HTML knowledge. It has a WYSIWYG editor like most WWW design apps.

The more development you do the more you will start to work with the raw HTML. At this point I only use Dreamweaver to do complex table creations.
