Any one care for a drink?

On Sat, Feb 4th 06, I will get my first SW tank and live stock. If it does not take too long to finish, I would like to celebrate in my bar/club at somewhat 10:30 PM.

I can treat the first eight persons a free drink(one drink for eight persons-:joke: :joke: -one each), you take care of yourselves there after and the ones who have time to help me move the tank will be FREE for the whole night.

I will play mostly hiphop music on the dance floor. Unlikely to change to other music because my friend is having a birthday party there as well. They get the say.

Also, I am offerring this location for MR members to show off their stuff, trade, exchange experience face to face and connect once a while in the day time.

Hmm. I don't know, my guy in the bar also wants me to put it there.

The bar can hold upto 250 ppl for a dance party.

Putting it in the bar would look great.But with ppl drinking .would it be in a safe place so they dont get stupid after a few extra drink? Thing you have to watch for.YOu know drinks make ppl do stupid things

agree wit ronen. im 21 so ive been to alot of clubs and not one had a saltwater fish tank.. but it would look good. also there are alot of stupid people that would do stupid things.. ive seen alot of stuff go wrong in club and i wouldnt want anything happening to ur livestock.. not worth it. keep it in ur house.. ull enjoy it so much more.. if ya need help moving and stuff let me no the date ill let you no if im available

well ,21 is just the start of club hopping ,do some more hopping around ,like the club call *CORALS* i think ,they have a tank about 6 to 7 ft high and the length of the club ,not to mention about 9 other tank around the club .
All in the wall type and acrylic so just in case

I have seen reef tanks in a few lounges. They are normally low key downtempo types of places. One underground japanese place in Washington DC had a small cube tank that had only coralline covered rock, yellow zoos (everywhere) and scarlett hermits. It was actually one of the most beautiful things I have seen, very clean, nice aesthetic.

A tank in a bar would only work if it was in a closet and faced into the bar. You could not have ANYTHING exposed to the public, just the glass.

this is going back, but I remember the limelight had a big circular tank in one of it's bar rooms, it was freshwater, I remember large silver dollars in it. I think it was protected by the bar. this the lime light from the 80's I'm talking about, lol.

I've not seen a reef tank in a NYC bar yet. You could be the first
