My dog just passed :(

After 15 years my beloved pup just passed. He saw me graduate from High School, saw me get married and was around for the birth of my two children. My only regret is that I did not spend as much time with him as I would have liked to.
He held on until my brother came to see him. He passed 20 mins later.

I'm going to miss his 5:00 in the morning bark take me outside bark the most.

My other dog is depressed and won't even come out of her bed.

So sorry for your loss. We are all like you are in time of death of a loved one, whether it be on 2 legs or 4. We all wish we had spent more time with them or done more for them and been better to them than we were. We seem to forget how much we did do for them and it showed by how they loved us unconditionally. I had put my boxer down on April 4th, 09. I still miss her terribly and know exactly how you feel. Your other dog will come around but is normal for them to mourn their buddy. Just pamper the other one and do what you wished you did with the other and all will be fine. My condolences. It's really hard to lose an animal that you've had for that long, it really is like losing a person. I had to put my 2 ferrets down in July after raising them from 6 weeks old to 7 1/2 years. I still get teary eyed what I see other ones in stores or find one of their old toys shoved underneath something. It looks like you provided him with a very nice life while he was around.

I just dropped him off to get cremated.. Handing over the body was the worst.

But my kids have been reminding me of all the good times.

We just put my dog down not even a week ago. She was a pure white chow. Chow chows live til 8-9, she was 15. My vet came over and put her down while I held her. I'll admit I thought i would be ok doing it, but when I felt her muscles relax and i knew she was gone, no one can hold back at that point. Sucks...had her since I was 8-9 years old old...
