Divorce VS Hobby

Was thinking about this for some time. This pass year I have heard of at least five couple's breaking up. People in the hobby. Now i understand that there are many things in life that can contribute to this. Was just wondering if a lot of us spend so much time in the hobby with builds, meetings other hobbyist, web etc etc. That we can lose site of whats more important like family. Any thoughts on this subject. I'm not asking for you to post anything personal.

I think its hard for some of our significant others to understand the time and money we put into what they consider a "stupid fish tank" all you can hope is that they love you enough to let you do what you love with out complaining too much

You got to know how to spend your time, i know my wife hates me on this site because i should be spending time with my son. It was alot easy before him but now i spend tank time after he goes to bed or at work. I can see some people get carried away and forget about how loveones feel.

I know i guy who got divorced because he picked fish over his wife. 2 months after getting divorced his x wife poured bleach in his tank and now he is out of the hobby, he should of thought 2x

I'm sorry but I really don't believe that this hobby or any other are the reason for a break up. The foundation of the realtionship is not strong if a reef tank breaks people up. It is an excuse.

Well like thay say for better or worse but not all follow there voves .

i wanted to enjoy my wife as miuch as my tank so i put her in there...um im pleading the 5th...lol i jus let her go shopping when i have to do something on the tank...that way i dont got hear her and i kno it'll be hours b4 she comes back
