No it wasn't called that at all, I forget the song name but they were all three in the song talking about being paid in NJ and having an owner from Brooklyn. And how is he a punk? It's all about buisness and what he wants to do in his life, not their life. To each his own, if you had that kind of talent and all the pressure what would you do? and besides if he stayed in cleveland and never won a title the entire city and all basketball fans would be talking about how big of a bust he was for never winning a title. What if he wasn't from Ohio would it be ok then? All the other guys leave and its ok, but because he was born 30 minutes from Cleveland he owes them something?
I say he's a punk because (as Don LeGreca said) would you rather have your girlfriend breakup with you in quiet spot or would you rather have her throw a drink your face in a packed restaurant?
He could have had a normal press conference to announce he's leaving. I'm not saying it's not the right decision to leave Cleveland. He has to leave. He can never win in there, the Cavs are cap hell and can't bring in anyone.
Miami is also a bad spot. Now he has to win multiple rings like 4-5.
REMEMBER THIS: NY is NY there is no place in the world like it. He should have come to NY and pulled a Messier and win one ring and be a God for life.
I bet he ends up signing a 5 year deal and opt out at the end of 3 and ends up in Brooklyn.

he will win a championship there though, something he wouldnt get in cleveland, ny or nj . i do wonder if the 3 of them signed short term contracts though
Lebron took the easy way out to win a championship. Even if he wins a title he could never be compared to Jordan or even Kobe. Those guys took the players they had around them and made them better, Kobe learned that later but he knew how to do it. Honestly I'm a knick fan but any other team than Miami, only bc he had to go to a team where wade already won a championship, and he is doing what those old washed up veterans do when they want a ring, join other superstars to win a championship bc they couldn't take the players they had and make them better.
It wasnt about championships earlier solely...it was about being the best ever...and to be part of a megateam like that he will never eclipse MJ's status. Yes, they will give him the best chance to win many titles, but the legacy will be hinged on others instead of a single superstar. Man was he nervous last night lol
So when the Lakers went out and got Shaq and harper after they had Kobe he still did it on his own? Then for the second 3peat they went out and got Artest and Gasol, but he still did it on his own? Not to mention other pivotal role players they picked up. Jordan had the same thing, Pippen came in he already had a ton of post players that were good(Cartwright, Grant and the other guy). For his second 3 peat they went out and got Harper and Rodman. But both guys did it on their own? The only difference is Cleveland gave Lebron no help at all, Shaq is what 40? THey pay him 22 million for one crappy season, when they could have went out and got some decent young guys. That other guy is like 40 also but they said he needed to be there. Even Orlando saw that bald guy was no good and cut him. I would leave also if they keep promosing me better players and you get has beens. Think of it this way, the other teams are running Lambos in the 1/4 mile and you get a mustang to run with them.
I don't know about Cleveland winning a championship before Miami, but I'd be willing to bet Chicago will win a championship before Miami. Lebron wanted to go to chi more than any team. But Chicago told him that his posse couldn't run around like punks, like they did in cleveland. If the deciding factor to you is whether or not your friends can run around like a bunch of hoodlums, you have problems! Pat Riley's not dumb, there's a reason he's not coming back to coach. He knows this is a money making opportunity for the franchise not a championship opportunity.
That doesn't even make sense, and Chicago never said that, they wanted him more than Cleveland did. If you want the ultimate player then you will accomadte him
I did hear reports from various news sources that the reason the Bulls were out of contention was for that very reason-no posse and punks running the place.
Jerry Reinsdorf and the bulls don't play like that.
Remember in 2006 when Scott Skiles pulled Ben Wallace from a game because he violated team rules by wearing a headband!

Saw him talking smack at the conference about winning at least 7 rings down there?Just play and prove it cause it'll come back to haunt you with the fans and the Media.He's already in the dog house with Ohio and their fans and if he does not perform in Miami,He'll probably head for NY or NJ:tongue1:
