Sounds like an amazing trip definitely go scuba diving! Unfortunately I don't know anything about Australia except there is alot of sick corals from there and that's where Crocodile Dundee was filmed LOL. I'm sure you can ship corals just send them to someone who is home or the day before you leave I would think you should talk to customs about it. Enjoy the trip brotha see you in October.

Going walkabout huh? So jealous of you Mike!!! I've been to Australia twice and take it from me two weeks was not enough! Both times I was there for a month.Sydney was a 22 hour trip so expect yours to be longer if have to land in Sydney first.I've only been to Sydney so I can't help you with any info on Brisbane. You definately need a visa. You will need the visitors(non-working) visa(obtained online) that is good for up to six month stay and is valid for 10 years unless things have changed.First time they affixed the visa onto my passport but on my second trip it was entered in the computer data base system.
Remember to look to the right when you get to the corner so you won't get hit by a car but in case you forget you will notice that it is written on the sidewalks anyway :lol2:.
Have a great trip Mike and take lots of pics. I will gladly tag along with my camera in case you don't want to take yours :D

As far as shipping corals back you will need the proper permits even if they are legally collected and permitted species. I've had fish and wildlife drop off boxes before of corals that were completely legal shipped to or from other countries and either rejected by customs at the destination or seized by ours for not having the proper permits. I can tell you though that shipping is going to be astronomical from Australia. It's not just going to be the actual shipping on the package, which will be huge by itself, but the other fees that will add up. I think if I remember off the top of my head when I have ordered from Australia directly the shipping with all other fees came out to around $250-$350 per box let me check real quick and see if I can get an actual number for you.
