Had no idea you owned play. I used to live 2 blocks away from there. I'm really good friends with your manager Fred. also.. you got some really hot bartenders ;).

Actually Got my ex-girlfriend a job there as a bartender... Fred hooked it up.

My advice would be to ask one of the local bars that you know and see if they have a private room and also do party's of this type. You might find a good deal from one of these places.

No worries I completely understand. I also have a place in the city called Slate. Let me know if this would work better. http://www.slate-ny.com/

My chicks threw me an awesome bach party - first dinner & drinks & a burlesque show & then clubhopping. I think it got pretty pricey, though (upwards of $200/person just for the first part of the night), and I don't know your budget.

Was the perfect night, though.

Oh god no, it doesn't go away. It just gets less frequent. Theoretically, if someone's getting married it's because they want to spend time with the spouse, so you end up not going out quite as much without him. Plus, there are those who start having kids, which change a person's entire life and really put a cramp in girls' nights out.

I don't have that issue, but running three businesses and having a regular social life keeps me really busy. Plus a dog, 3 cats, and the fish tanks... Just looking at June, tonight I'm working at a party, tomorrow afternoon I'm working at a party, tomorrow night beerfish & I are GOING to a huge party, a fancy dress-up shindig my theater throws every June, and now I'm actually on the party committee for it (plus, I was just elected as Membership VP for the theater, so that's a lot more time that'll be taken), Sunday is actually clear, oddly. Then we both work all week, and on 6/7 I've got a theater executive board meeting & 6/9 a theater general membership meeting. Then next weekend we've got the cast party on Saturday night for the show I was in. Next Sunday (we're up to 6/13 now) I'm going to the NY Botanical Gardens with a bunch of girlfriends to get some good photos (another of my hobbies, photography). 6/14 is another theater meeting - I have to lead the new member orientation. Work all week, and then the next weekend is our friends' party in Massachusetts, so we're going to that on Friday/Saturday, and Sunday is Father's Day. On 6/19 I was also asked to work AND we were invited to another party down here in NY, but we can't do those things because of the MA party. During all of this, we have to prep for our own huge annual "Mardi Gras in June" party on 6/26.

So, you see it fills up. We work our separate jobs during the day, then we work together on one of our businesses most weeknights, and on weekends I have my third business. We've got a lot of friends to hang with and events to attend. And in between all that is keeping the house straight, taking care of the pets, having some time alone for ourselves, and everything else that can come along. Heck, reading a book!

July is starting to look like that too, with a July 4 party down here, more theater events, a friend's wedding, another MA party, my own birthday, my brother-in-law's birthday, my friend's wedding shower...

It happens so fast you don't even realize 'til you look at the "month" view on the calendar and say, "holy crow, I have no time!"
