what are you paying and what is your coverage and from who? Plus you have to remember each area has different prices for different age groups.


I am 24 clean record have had my own insurance since 18 and I was quoted 1,4xx for full coverage for 6 months I am located on long island, this was for a 06-Evo MR and from allstate

well, heres my 2 cents...

if your looking for practicality and reliability, gas milage and a lil style, look into the hyundai genesis..

beautiful little 2 door coupe with a 4 cyl turbo has quite a lil punch and at the low cost and minimal maintenece thery require.. also the come with a 100,000 10yr warenty..

hyundai isnt the hyundai of 10yrs ago, abt 5 yrs ago did you notice all of a sudden all the models became a lil nicer? the elantra, sonata and the g35 looked like a nicer toyota and the santa fe and tuscon had the sporty look of milder mercedes.. and the reason why is bc daimler(of daimler chrysler and mercedes) has taken a large stake in the design of the hyundai

leading the way for the car manufacturer to introduce 8 new models in the past 4 yrs.
they now have all mercedes airbag systems, communications since they went to can bus are all merecdes controlers and as well as the styling..

Oh, on a serious note.. I used to have allstate (and I'm a few years older, same clean driving record, and a bit over the "25 year" limit, which is supposed to drop you down) ..and I was paying $200/month for my car insurance.. called up Geico... and for the exact same coverage, I am now paying 84.00/month. Pays to shop around

i live in sussex county NJ and im 21. clean record, highpoint insurance, full coverage. $900 every 6 months... but my mother is also on the same plan so her good record also helped. 05 evo VIII

I switched from Gieco and saved over $200 when I turn 25 I will be shopping around again tho

the insurance is based on more then just age ect, your credit rating gets ran also which most people dont know, bad credit = higher insurance. btw geico sux, buy a new car and wreck it same day and you will get aftermarket and or used parts put on your 1 day old car factory is the last option for parts useage with geico

The Evo only has clucth problems the sti has problem with there transfer case I would go with the Evo just put a new clucth in it if you get it the stock one is crap. The new sti are good they fixed there transfer case problems

STi has a T-Case? Thats news to me because i have rebuilt 2 wrx trannies before and they dont have t-case as far as I know. The sti 6spd Is bullet proof till about 600whp. I cant say the same for the evo setup espically the early evo8s with open front diffs. tcase is the weakpoint as well as the clutch. When you put in one of those really agressive clutch setups in you can kiss your t-case good bye.

anyway, the evo is a nice car man, but do you have any other types or cars your into because the evo is a great car...but there may be better choices out there... whats your price range? sedan or coupe? 4,6,8 cylinder? what you looking for? elaberate a little...

you should just save up for the 2011 mustang which is like 27 grand and has 400 hp 5.0 v8. You cant beat that.

yeah but i kinda have to agree with aznt1217 with that v6 coming out with 300 horse and 31 MILES PER GALLON. thats crazy for a stang. well worth it in the long run and will save big time with it!

yea the v6 is nice as well Direct injection 300hp and 30mpg cant go wrong. only if it was awd lol. Cant drive it in the snow around here lol

ya know ive said the same thing...if a stang was awd there would be a pro and a con...the car would be amazing and so many more people would buy it expecially around here......but it just would not be a mustang anymore.....:sad2:

Really? I think there sweet as hell. Drove one maybe 2 months ago and that thing is shockingly quick as hell. Those twins are incredible and not only that but sitting in it felt like I was in a mayback lol. I could have fallen asleep in that bucket seat because it was so confertible. I drove that cinnimon red color one and it was Sharp. price tag though... ehh I'd pass cause of the sticker price. But I will admit... it did NOT in anyway feel like a Ford...weird

Yes i sat in one, and it sure is comfortable. It just seems like such a big car. Comes wiht 20 inch rims stock which is insane. As far as the drivetrain and interior deff top notch. the exterior just looks so ugly to me.

yeah like i said its really just not a ford look outside ill give you that. has like a toyota grill and the body is kinda like those new vw. but another car i dont care what anyone says...i like the new fusion but it HAS to be black with that black grill. that screams sport to me. i love it. that black grill makes it a sport. and there nice price range. i love the gauges where its a whole computer look. very cool.
