Must agree - was out Saturday and there were so FEW boats out, yet the day was outstanding!
I'd guess they were all going out later for the Lido/Pt Lookout Fireworks show on Saturday night? I went to a concert at Jones Beach Sat night (Frampton/YES) and there were probably still 30 boats in Zachs at that point, but I couldn't see down Reynolds Channel to see if that was crowded.

I was out all weekend, we just came home last night.
I took it out to the Statue Of Liberty last week.
