ooops!

Yeah did it again! 3rd time too...

I set my timer as usual, but was so tired I laid down to rest my eyes... and woke at 2am realizing... "hey dummy! you were filling a 5 gallon bucket of RO/DI @ 11pm" Doh!

So Hello MR! I'm now wide awake, and just finished Wet/Dry vacing the basement for the third time...

Does the site have a list for DUMMIES? I vote we make one and I will gladly take the first spot. So has anyone else done the same or anything stupid like me?

hrmmmm....

Rich

ps. I'm really glad the baby woke up hungry... I would probably have 30 gallons in that bucket.

I'm sold...

My only issues is I use 5gal buckets to hold spare pure water. I guess I could come up with something that would attach to one lid, and change the lids as one fills and swap the lid with the device to the new bucket.

Thanks...

I guess i'm not the only one on that list...

I use three five gallon water bottles with two 1 1/2 " quick caps from home depot some ridged tubing and some flexable air line tubing. I drill two very small holes into the quick caps and push the ridged tubing through it connect the the bottles with the flexable tubing now I could fill up three bottles at a time. When one fills up it starts to fill the next one up.
I hope you understand what I'm saying I'm not the best writer.

What Vic said, and on the last one you can put a return back to the sink.

I normally use a kitchen timer, if I fall asleep it will go off in an hour and I can go and check on the bucket to see how full it is.

Exactly what I did... set it to 55 minutes... never even heard it. I should have put it right next to me.

One minor detail I didn't specify, was I run the waste line into the Washing machine, which over flowed as well. I think I will run it to the trap for the Washing machine and forget about wasting the water. In the mean time I will connect the buckets together and see how that works.

ps. Im freaken tired this morning... nothing like getting up in the middle of the night to clean up water... hrmmm...

Well, good thing that it was not a 200gpd unit. :tongue1:

Yeah! My tank and I would be out in the dog house for sure if it were... All she said last night while feeding the baby was... "You did it again?" haha... I'm so busted!

The wife works from home on Tue and Thur. so i'm sure she is inspecting the basement this morning to see if I destroyed anything...

it's a 5 gallon bucket. it fits in most sinks. when it overflows, it runs down the drain.

Not that I didn't have the fire department wake me up at 4 am to learn this or anything. . .
