Beautiful cats but my calico would not put up with a kitten we recently tried to pair her up with so I'm wary getting another cat. Although the wife has been pushing pretty hard for a kitten.

Marteen, cats behave like that initially. You have to make the intro. slowly. I always introduce the new cat by putting it in a bedroom with litter box, food, water and toys. These allows the house cat to sniff out the new comer without the aggression. In time they get used to each others smells things go smoothly.

I take the opposite approach. I let the new comer loose with everyone else and let them figure it out. It takes a few days of growling and hissing and the new comer sometimes hiding for a day or so. I just ignore all the noise LOL
Its also very rare to get a kitten in rescue. Usually anybody who buys from a reputable breeder will be able to have the breeder take the cat back. In fact thats the first question we ask people who are looking to surrender there cats to us. The oldest cat i have personally fostered was 8 year old. The youngest was 4 months but as i said its a rarity to have kitens so young.

Heres the info we know about him.......
I have a beautiful 2 yr. old 12lb. male snow sepia Bengal who needs a new home. For some reason, I have become highly allergic to him and can?t even be in the same room where he has been. He is a big, beautiful healthy boy who is as sweet as can be. He is not a lap cat, but he loves to go, go pie and have his belly rubbed. He gets along really well with other cats. I hope you can find a home for this giant goofball. I live in Rye Brook, NY, which is 35 minutes NE of NYC.

As of last night its available. I just contacted the owner on how to proceed. There are 4 people interested in her from here and quite honestly im not sure how to go about it. I guess i could go in order of PMs. Do you all think that would be fair? This also will not be the last Bengal i rescue. Theres always another. :(

And for anyone interested this is the website for what i do. Its a national rescue and if anyone is even interested in fostering a cat till it finds a forever home let me know :) http://www.bengalrescuenetwork.org/ I would like who ever ends up with the cat to make a donation at that site as it supports what we do! If necessary it goes towards medical care if we get a sick cat in or any other issues that may arise.

Rick wanted me to tell you that he wants to make arrangements to see the cat. He tried to PM you but his mouse died, lol

If you could PM him or call him with a day and time that would be great.

Thanks,
April

Heres a Bengal in a city shelter for anyone interested.

Hello
I'm posting on behalf of this lovely Bengal girl, Marie Claire, who is
need of a new home. She was surrendered to the Humane Society of New
York because she was just too active for this nice man's older cat.
The shelter is NOT a place she should stay a minute longer. She's
becoming more and more depressed. Please consider adopting her. From
her Petfinder listing:
"This charming & beautiful Bengal girl is a wonder to behold. Marie
Claire is 3 years old and is very affectionate. She was a little too
frisky for her former caretaker's older cat, so a home without other
cats who can't keep up would be best. She's a gorgeous rosetted,
beautifully glitter-coated Bengal. She seems to always have a smile on
her face. She's petite at 7 lbs. She's also very vocal - so those who
know the breed will appreciate all her witty conversations. Bengal cat
experience preferred. She loves to give rubs, roll on her back for
belly rubs and is very engaging. Super sweet girl with perfect litter
box habits. Might do very well with a dog companion."
Her photos are posted here in the groups' pages. Folder called "Marie
Claire HSNY"
http://tinyurl.com/ylc7zxp
She is also listed on Petfinder:
http://www.humanesocietyny.org/adoption.shtml
download an adoption application at the link above or go to the shelter
The shelter would require submitting an adoption application and a
personal interview for adoption approval. They are located at:
306 E 59th St between 1st & 2nd Ave
NYC 10022
Open daily - 10-4
Please please consider this beautiful creature. She really needs more
than just a small cage.(
best regards,

Lissa. Thank you :) ill have you wanting one so bad you wont be able to refrain! Stay strong LOL

Josh. Alot of people just want a "show" cat. They never research anything about Bengals before buying one. They are unique and have there own traits unique to the breed. As Josh stated they are high energy cats that thrive on human attention! Quite a few Bengals end up in recsue because of people that dont do there homework prior to buying one.
The first bengal i rescued was an F3 with terrible litter box habits. After a few months of work she finally learned exactly what a litter box was for LOL It was an interesting experience and she went to live with a nice lady in NYC who had alot of experience with Bengals. Last i heard she was a model citizen reguarding the litter box!

Heres my 2 Bengals Salou and Orion that are both rescues that i decided to keep :)

Very cool! How do you like him? Im glad Avanti has a new home :) Rick ill let you know as soon as the next comes along. I dont know what happened to the one in Queens. The lady hasnt returned my emails and the one thats up in Yonkers was having some litter box issues so till there resolved its staying put for now. We want both the cats and new owners to be happy! :)
