Who cares if it's her birthday.... Man get her a card and hand it to her and say something sweet and move on quickly.. It will make her think. Anyone that buys gifts for a person that they are not involved with (even if you in love) shows that you are willing to buy thier attention and sends the wrog message. Wining and dining are great if you get together and there is a rule to that too.

You can get as extravagant as you want to with them as long as you dont expect nothing in return. So the idea is to try to do stuff that you enjoy so it isn't a total loss.

1) I think a card is a great idea. Low investment. Definite ice breaker.
2) You could also do the lunch thing. (BTW, how do you know it's her birthday? If she told you, she wants you to acknowledge it)
Invite her out to lunch, or, back to your place (calm down perverts). Unless your place is a dump, or you share it with 12 others, make her lunch. It's a nice change from the usual restaurant scene, it's cheap, and you can show her your reef. That should make for some conversation.

Yea she mentioned the Bday thing. I don't know if there any ice left, feel like we just sunk through it AGAIN . My place is pretty nice, just dont know what the mother or father would have to say about this.
