Not a Mets fan but man..They're sinking fast.Not even sure if they'll make it in.At least I know the Yankees won't make it but to choke like that every year,gotta hurt.

Unfortunately, I think they'll win the wild card. The Brewers have to go up against the Cubs for their final series. As we see now, the Cubs are not laying down for anyone having wrapped up the Central a while ago. The Mets go up against Florida, who I do believe beat them and knocked them out of the playoffs last year......hmmmmmmmmm:scratchch

If Florida still had Beckett,they'll be even a better contender like the Mets letting go Kazmir.

Nelson, its not every year, they only choked last year. And I dont think the term to use choked. They were hot and they got cold heading into the last two weeks. They got hot two weeks after Charlie was in place. Thats why the Giants won the SB, because they got hot at the right time. And the only problem with this setup is that the Phillies just like last year got hot with the Mets cooled off. The Yanks right now are hot, if they got into a groove about two weeks ago the AL East would be going down to the last day like it did in 05, in that Boston Yankees series. And lets not forget that the reason Boston got knocked out was because the Yanks got hot and Boston turned to ice. The Mets will be fine, they are making contact, the starting pitching is holding, not great but holding and Ayala is there closer for the future, they lost because of the MR staff.

that was real freakin sad. personally i would rather be knocked out then blow the lead again. but thats just me. but hey at least it isnt as bad as last years debacle

They had 3 innings to score with players and they still couldn't get it done. I just shook my head and shut the tv before the ninth inning. I couldn't watch anymore. :irked: Hopefully, they'll do better in the last series. :bablefish

We changed channels before the final inning as well. When they stranded those runners in the 9th all we could do was shake our heads... and then change the channel.
