Hi guys/gals!
It is very sad, but I am not seeing a choice! My Bluenose female pitie is refusing to play nice with my big boy Rednose pit. The male is altered, and never starts anything with her. He has even just tried to ignore her, and just push her off/away. Every so often she goes at him. Last summer he whooped her behind, and she stopped until yesterday when she once again attacked him.
I have come to the conclusion that she needs a home with no other pets. She is a 2 year old intact Bluenose on the small size, house broken, very loving towards humans once she sees she is not in danger. If anyone is interested, or knows of someone who would be interested in providing her with a loving home please contact me.

shes beatiful! My dog is blue just like her!... if she has white boots then she would look exactly like him expect shes not an italian greyhound... he's all blue (gray to people who dont kno dog colors for certain breeds) and has a white chest and tips on white on his feet... good luck finding a home!

Yes, she does have white tips on her feet, and she is beautiful! I hate having to give her up, and yes it is going to be difficult placing her considering that she is 2 years old. But I'm hoping that there is someone out there looking for a sweet heart of a pit that just needs to be the only animal in their life.

Thank you Jonathan! I appreciate all the help! I will not take her to any pounds as I am afraid that she'll get adopted out to some thug.
As you all know my kids also have pities which is why I won't even ask them to take her in.
Currently I have the big boy in my den recovering from the last assault. He is so good, he could kill her if he so chose to go after her. All he does is try to shake her off. But I know after last summer that one day he is going go off, and possibly kill her. He is double her size.
I have her crated away from my other dog. I don't want to keep her isolated like this, for fear that it will totally damage her psychie, but I felt that she needed some sort of punishment.

Is there any way of behavioral modification...? Can you hire someOne who does this like the Dog Whisperer?

When I had a Golden, I had someone come over to train him, maybe someone can do that for you.

:happysad: Good luck and I hope she goes to a great home.

Don, I've been raising dogs for over 30yrs. Wolve hybrids, labs, akitas, rotties, and now the pities. The only other dog I ever had to give up on was an akita, which even the vet felt he was totally mad! And now this one. We don't even know what the problem is between these two. She does not bother the other female, nor my son's male pit which has been staying with us while his place goes under renovations.
She will only go to a good home!!

Thanks Sporty & sweetsop! Not interested on being on TV.lol Millan does not appear to really have a contact venue.:( I have watched his tv show on several occasion, and think he is great. Unfortunately he is not out here on the east coast..

I have no idea what the heck is going on with her! She grew up with the other two, and doesn't mess with the other girl. For now she has been seperated from the others.
I am seriously thinking of a stunt prod incase this kinda thing ever happens again.

Zany, your statement couldn't be further from the truth about these dogs!

Pits are kind of dumb but sweet dogs by nature.:)

No offense but thats a pretty dumb thing to say. Properly bred APBT's have been found to be one of the most intelligent of dog breeds by quite a few testers.

The problem is that most dogs identified as pitbulls by the media and average Joe are as much pitbull as they are chihuaha.

sweatsop I had checked to see if there was a way to contact Mr. Millan. Their note coupled with all the information requested on a nonsecure web site made pull back.

Jejton, LOL! Trust me this thought has caused my mind!! As a matter of fact the day she snapped a 3 month pitie on the board walk, my big boy had sniffed & kissed him a minute before she snapped.;)
So yes, I'm thinking jeolousy could be the problem.:(

The problem is that she went totally bonkers this last time. Even after they were seperated she broke loose from my son's grip, and tried to go around my other son & hubby to get at him again. Now I am forced to keep her away from the others. I don't like having to lock any of them up. I don't even like putting them up when company comes, but I do understand most folks fears so I do it...

I grew up with these dogs and most owners around my way treated them bad and even fought them regularly.I refused to even watch those fights but they came back beat up.A friend of mine had a female and it chased and killed a rat and died 30 minutes later. It was sad.Even the Romans used them to fight lions and such.Bad reputation and I know they can be sweet but predators by nature as with most terrier dogs. They say that Jack Russell terriers are the smartest of them all.Not making it up.Hey,I have cats and they're pretty dumb(lol)I love all animals and I hope your dog finds a good home Awilda.

:( Sorry you have to find a new home for her she is gorgeous, but kudos for doing the right thing. Are you a member of www.pitbullforum.com? They have some great resources there and maybe some members there can help you locate a home for her.

The crate and rotate routine sucks. We had to do it with a Boxer and our AmStaff. And the Boxer was the aggressor my AmStaff would just try and get away from her, my fear of the time when she decided to fight back forced us to find a home for the Boxer... it sucked but they are both better off because I did it.

Good luck. Hope you find a wonderful home for her.

Zany, I have never known anyone that fought their dogs, and I am very happy about that. I can't imagine having to report a friend to the police for such inhumane actions! Thank you for the good wishes.

Pinkheine, thank you for your input. I will definitely look into your link. I have always checked APBT forum, but never joined any. I had tried to join the "Smilly Pit bull" forum, but something kept going wrong with the registering link so I gave up. Guess I'll try again, as well as the link you've provided.

I really do not want to give her up.;( But this rotating business really sucks! This last fight has forced us to rotate to males as well. The two males were getting along just fine up until now. I guess my son's visiting intact male is viewing my male as a woose for not taking her head off.lol At least that's what I think since I can't really talk to them.lol
All my big boy did during the fight was to growl really loud, and pin her down to the ground. He wouldn't bite her, he just flipped her on her back, and held her down. This is what has me thinking that now my son's boy thinks my male is weak, and he should challenge him. Fortunately my son's dog goes home soon.;)

How I wish things would go back to when they all got along!! Nothing like the bunch playing, eating, sleeping, and just being the goofy bunch they were.;(

Once again I want to thank you all for the good wishes, and support!! This does help to fend off the depresion!

Pinkheine, are you a member of "PBF"? I can't register there either.;( And they don't seem to have a contact.

I wrote a message to the admin to see if I can get a link for ya or some info on registering issues. Have you tried http://www.spbr.org/ they may have some useful information to help as well. SPBR stands for smilin' pit bull rescue. I'll pm ya when they get back to me on pbf.
