Portable GPS (Navigation) recommendation?

Hopefully, no more getting lost or having to deal with Map-quest....


Wifey got me a Magellan, but we're both lost on which brands were good.




Any good recommendations on a GPS unit in the $300 range?

I'm thinking this one:

- Garmin Nuvi 350 -

The price on that "Nuvi" everywhere is $400 & up. Circurt City & Walmart have them for $300.
It has some options I most likey wouldn't use....but hey.

Seems OK, but I've read about drop out issues & not having an updated map.
Doesn't shout out the street names niether...

dudE, just get the cheapest nuVi the cheapest one is 200,000,000 times better than your paper mapQuest and it does the SAME crap like ANY GPS !! they ALL do the same thing !! even on water! SAME technology.

stop screwing aRound and just buy the most affordabLe Nuvi
