No! You shouldn't have harassed him until he gave up on a doing a group buy. Doing group buys are hard enough already. I'll ask for the second time, since when do mod's decide how/when group buys are done? A mod moderates a discussion, not decides he/she doesn't like it and ends it when no rules were broken.

Actually, to be fair, mods do have some responsibility to moderate group buys.

An example would be a new member trying to organize a group buy for 20 clams. I think it is legitimate to have concerns about a group buy where the seller states that they will hold livestock for 6 weeks.

There have been problems with members in the past using the MR name to run GB's with Atlantis, and those GB's going sour. We do not want to discourage GB's but we do have to make sure they are run properly.
