#1 : it is not illegal to conduct a business transaction outside of a building, on the street.
#2: Every single time I have met someone in front of a fish store to buy a frag from them, I have gone into that fish store and purchased something. That's the whole point of meeting in front of a fish store.

Well I guess I will never go to FT ... all I can say is that as a new member if someone said OK lets meet at a store then most likely I would plan on shopping there too. Or I was already a customer. I have bought 3 tanks from my LFS, fish, heaters, food, filters, pumps. Couple thousand bucks worth of stuff in the last few years. If they said a nasty word I would never shop there again. Not like he opened a hot dog cart in front of a Nathans. Should realize that the same person is going to buy food for his tank, filter stuff, new lights ect. That is not coming from someone standing in front of the store.

You are a liar! You repeatedly shouted racial remarks at the top of your lungs on a public sidewalk without disregard. There were witnesses nearby that also heard what you said. You should have kept your mouth shut but it's too late now. As you are aware and if you are keen enough to read my intial post to know that we've taken the necessary steps begin allegations against you and your store. What I would like to know is how Papa feels about this and if he doesn't know, maybe you want to enlighten him.
And for your point of information, your employees both former and current, have witnessed your racial slurs to customers in the past.

I was not going to post but i must. I am not from NY nor do i ever goto fishtown, nor do i plan to. And dont read to hard into this post cause i know how annyoed most of you are. I deal with people all the time there is always 3 sides to a story. The two peoples story and then somewhere in between is the truth. I am not saying that it did not happen, but who really knows the real truth of what was exactly said. I can sorta understand that she didnt want anyone to sell anything in front of her store (her father's store). I am sure that she went around it the wrong way in asking people to not do deals right by the store. I am sure that she could have done it a little more diplomatically. I understand that she really dosent own the sidewalk, but doing business in front of the store can have a feeling of disrespect to the owner. Then when she asks someone to leave in an unprofessional way then both sides get heated and then words are exchanged. I have never met her nor the people that are involved, so i cannot make a comment on their personalities.
I think that Cathy should just swallow her pride in this situation and apologize for whatever was said. If she cared about her business she would do the right thing. But then if she did apologize, i dont think that it should be a big deal that if you are going to make a trade or sale go down away from the store a little bit. That would only show a little respect for a business.
I did not post in this thread to get anyone mad at me. I am neutral in this situation. Some people cannot control themselves and i am not defending anything that she said.

FWIW, you would know she is not telling the truth and is a not so nice person if you have been in FT and have the pleasure to hear her yell at people.
