Chill guys ,Its only RG ..

Land i think what ppl are trying to say ,Is we use RG as a Get away from reef talk. al thou there are lots of conversation about reef related stuff but not often. Some ppl just want to go on RG a chill act stupid with smileys and such ,only reason is .We are all freinds just BSing

But all questions and talk is excepted on RG. If you look around ,MR was one of the 1st reef site to have a chat room for us to BS (live) without having to call eachother.

Just look what a simply thread can generate :lol2:

Dont worry about phil ,He is harmless unless you see him ,then youll get crossed eyed and walk funny :lol2:

Enjoy the site ,Im sure as time gos by youll understand most of our craziness ,after all we all are crazy getting into a hobby that so expensive

RG is for everyone's use! Usually there are "Intelligent" people that are around that can answer almost any questions or at least point you in the right direction. I understand your post though as sometimes you just want to know what new or exciting things come up in the reef world. Maybe even to get some insight in a successful reefers techniques.

Making a thread to ask specific questions is more helpful to the site IMO, as there are many other people that will benefit from the same answers you might get to a problem. Members on the site also start thread on new equipment and snake oils that one may encounter in the hobby. If anything you should look into some of the tank threads to see what other people are doing in the hobby.

Having another chat room might be more counter-productive for the many reasons stated above.

PS: If you people cant seem to get into your heads that this site is for informative purposes and as a way to make "Friends" in a local saltwater community and to come together to "HELP" one another than you don't belong here! Bashing, thread crapping and other forms of ignorance will not be tolerated. Everyone should be held accountable for their post on here. Don't start asking why your posts got deleted or edited when you don't adhere to the forum rules !

Finally there is a response that is dead on.

The thing i see here though is that this is starting to turn into RC from the past. When members ask questions, as stupid as they be, they are quickly bashed. There seems to be a lack of respect. Noone is the supreme voice here, this is a community site.

I love the small talk and think its great that you guys have turned this information forum into a place where real friendships have been formed.

Its just on a couple occasions I wanted to raise questions regarding nitrite problem and my QT and all of a sudden the happy faces and acronyms like LMAO, or OMG suddenly dissapeared and it appeared as if I ruined the party with a fish question. That kinda frustrates me when Im genuinly placing a fish in dangerous parameter levels but cant break up a silly convo. Silly convo's are great just give a place for both, and thats it
