Just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your kind words of encouragement throughout the process, and particularly at the end... You all helped!

So graduation is May 18th. After years and years of graduate school (in three different graduate programs), I think I may be done with school for a while...

I did two years of gradutate school before doing three years in law school, and i still think to myself on occasion that I work near so many good schools that i could take night classes. :scratchch

Yeah like many reefers say, we can never "kill the itch/ick". Taking 24 credits in one semester was not even enough, I sat in other classes that I did not pay. HAHAHHAHA There is one class(nothing about my majors) I sat in for two semesters. The proferssor did not bother to ask me why I was there again in his class.:lol_large

topic was: A five year course of Israel Education

The paper was a proposal for a course of family education, "informally taught," which means, not in a classroom. It would start in third grade and go through seventh grade, with a group trip to Israel in the sixth grade year, before all of the bar and bat mitsvahs. (this was totally innovative and was maybe the most exciting part of the paper for me personally. I designed the trip - not just a tourist trip, but an educational trip...)

the point was to help families engage with Israel (create / feel a sense of global community / strengthen Jewish identity through connecting with Jews living in Israel and better understanding their experience...), to help families engage as families (strengthen families both "Jewishly" and just on the "family" level -- remember the old phrase "the family that prays together stays together?" well, the family that learns together is "strengthened" as well...), to help families engage with each other (local community - "a community of learners") and to help these families engage their broader local community.

I am SURE that I'll get the itch to go back to school again. There is still rabbinical school to finish.... But it will have to wait at least a year before i go back. I have maybe 18 mos to 2 years to finish that program...

And while I won't write your thesis for you, I'd be MORE than happy to help you write it!!! Writing is a joy for me!!!
