I hope your not comparing it to american currency which is basically nothing. I would be comparing it to the Euro and i know for a fact that there is not a $5 difference in gas.

Sorry it's a little less than $5........maybe $4.Lets do some math 1.33 Euro per liter x 4 x 1.36 = 7.25 per gallon

I think i have to pass some gas ,does tht count ,it free :lol2:

would you ppl stop the arguing ,gas prices sux ,oil companies rob us and we cant do anything

Mark ,I wont fill up on the 15th ,ill just do it on the 14th

so if there are XXXXX amount of ppl filling up on the 14th ,how much are the oil companies making to cover the not filling up on the 15th

what makes them not raise the price after a stunt like that ,Here in the US they have no control over Mid east oil companies raising gas prices ,so if they (OC) what to raise the price to $8 a gal they can ,without anyone saying anything .

Frankly folks, it won't make a damned bit of difference in the long run if you don't fill up on May 15th (no disrepect to your original post Marki), as they'll get you on the 14th or the 16th or whenever, and the profits will still go into the deep pockets of the oil companies.

The only difference you can make is to stop driving your cars as much and for the most part nobody has the spare time available (who already isn't doing it), or the desire to inconvience themselves to hop on a train, or a bike to huff it to work, or pick up their kids, or go to a Doctors appointment...

And Crox..what difference does the price of tea in China make?..think about it...

   Did I mention tea?? Anyway I was trying to say that people in Europe are already paying high gas prices but they got use to it and comninue to live their lives despite that........I guess we are a bit spoiled here........If gas prices are a concern try to buy a smaller engine car and you won't that problem.

I agree completely. It will not have any effect, people will gas up the days before, which defeats the purpose. That is what happen the last time people tried it.

OMG Don't you realize it doesn't matter if you buy gas on the 15th or not because you'll just buy it on the 16th or 17th either way you're going to buy gas so it makes no difference! Do you think these companies are so tight that they can't float their expenses for one day! Do you think if no one buys gas tomorrow that the gas stations will go out of business!?

As was mentioned if you want to make a difference never buy gas again. That will make a difference. Or if you seriously want to make a difference research nuclear energy and explain it to someone else.
