ALERT!!!

An emotional disturbed person is on the loose in the area of 7th Avenue and 48th Street Brooklyn. Slightly torn white t-shirt, quarter length blue jeans, white or light color sneakers, white hipsanic looking with gold chain.

DO NOT CONFRONT HIM when you see this person. Call the cops. I considered him VERY DANGEROUS. It's lucky that I removed all possible weapons around him before he was lured to the open.

NO JOKE.

I was surprised you still have mood to joke.

He barged in my cafe beat up a customer and hit an other customer right outside, ran to another place and beat more people. Good that he did not have a gun.

Later report from my cafe customers said that he has foot long knife at his back which I did not see.

I just found out from the neighborhood, he crashed his car with his daughter in it two blocks away minues after.

Ronen, I think you should be more alert though. Crazy people do not just live in VA Tech or 7th Ave of Brooklyn or around Bleecker St Manhattan. Note: No hard feeling towards you though-every person react to violence/safety of others differently. More accurately, I think everyone reacts to crsis differently. I was it the danger zone when 9/11 it happened. I see how people react to crisis differently-some try to save others, some are just too shocked doing nothing and some are just curious also doing nothing.

Be reminded dangerous people is everywhere.

I hope so too. He lived just around the corner and if he is released too soon, there could be problem. Once again, I think he is VERY DANGEROUS.

I hope his daughter and family get well soon for his sake and my neighborhood's safety sake.

No you did not offend me. Don't worry.

I do not doubt you about caring for ppl. because I know you care about animals and thus I think you care for most living things. However, I am just saying WHEN CRISIS ARISES many people(including the authorities) take danger or safety too lightly or too hard with wrong approach.

I would not blame you for misunderstanding my thread because even 911 is confused(they are supposingly able to handle crisis though.) In one of my call, the 911 girl said there were too many calls for that area, they loose track of sending someone over my place. Good that I can block punches and know how to defend myself while I lure him out to the open. Still I got some abrasions when I felt to the ground.

Deep and JHale,

I see one of the reason why you guys did not notice the danger in my first thread. When I mentioned emotional disturbed person and VERY DANGEROUS, I assumed all of us would know what I mean without explicitly quoting the word "violent" and/or telling the fighting part of the story. Here is the definition of EDP.

"EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED PERSON (EDP) — appears to be mentally ill or temporarily deranged and is conducting himself in a manner which a police officer reasonably believes is likely to result in serious injury to himself or others. "

It still amazes me that citizens MUST rely on 911 to save them from people like this. Yeah, Bloomberg, we need more gun control. EVERYONE should have the right to protect themselves. Not just the Police, not just rich people who have the money and resources and not just the government.
This is a perfect example, what if this loon did take the knife out and started stabbing people. Quick, call 911, wait for the call to be processed, wait until the cops get their. In all that time, he could have knifed three, five, ten people. But, remember, Bloomberg is taking our right to defend ourselves away.

Better yet, when someone is stabbing you, call Mr. Mayor up directly, ask him to come over and stop the person from stabbing you and then kindly ask him to remove the knife from your chest.

I'm aggreivated again:sgrin: . If I can only move out of here:scratchch , again.

Well, IMO, the fighting part of the story is the most imperative part, especially having a knife. "EDP and very dangerous" is a good indicator of what the person is like, but the more information provided, the better. Sometimes, EDP's are only a danger to themselves, not to make it sound unimportant. Some EDP's are a danger to themselves and others. There are just too many variables because they are unstable.

However, ANY information is better than NONE.

Good looking out, thanks for posting!:grouphug:

If he did have or used "the knife someone said he has"(I did not see it even though I have physical contact with him.) This is an under statement! You know how long it took for the first cop to come after I called four times and how lightly they took on the case. It's more than one hour. I am about to call the Captain of 72 when people are telling me the EDP has crashed his car.

Update:

The EDP's neighbour just came and told me that it's not his daughter in the car but his 3 year old son got beat up in his car. He punched thru the window of his building and cut his arm after he messed around my cafe. He has blood all over him before he jumped into his car and took his son along. The landlord of his building called 911 right the way. He crashed at couple locations and finally stopped at 39st. He has crashed at least 3 cars altogether and his car is totalled. He still try to run around but some cops caught him. Not sure if the cops just happen to be around there or responding to one of our calls.

Feel sorry for his kid. My goodness, I think I saw this kid before too.

The more I think of I probably know his kid makes my stomach turns more and eyes red.

Debating to myself should I get a restrianing order.

The EDP was released from jail with a restraining order for him not to get near his son and his car and driving license taken away.

I was thinking to myself, should I get a restraining order for him not to get near my cafe to protect everyone here until his mental health or life gets better?

He sent his friend as a messenger to apologise for what has happened. What does that mean? An apology only makes sense when a person is rational and mentally healthy. Is he capable of thinking right? If so, for how long. Can his mind stay clear everytime he passes by my cafe?

In a crisis, ppl just act differently. After the incident, I am expecting two types of responses from the neighbors:

(1) Accuse my cafe of not protecting their kids from harms way in my cafe or even hanging out in front of my cafe.

(2) Come to praise me for protecting their kids from harms way

but actually ONLY the third reactions show up-4 persons from the building that the EDP lives came to apologise. I was surprised. Why would they apologise for someone else' craziness only because an EDP lived in the building? I do not think they pushed him over to edge. If this happens again, I think the judge, the law enforcement and the doctors should apologise not the residents of the building. To me, human reactions to crisis are just unpredictable.
