Reef Graffiti Program?

Does anyone here know what is used to make reef graffiti? And if it is a downloadable plugin? I want to set up a site that allows my friends to chat like on here, since this isn't blocked by work computers

I'm pretty sure it's a plug in module that's part of the BB software the site is running on. Buying the software is not cheap, but your friends could set up a site devoted to just a private chat box.

nah- :hug: but it would be sweet to have a private real-time chat room like Graffiti- we've tried to set things up in yahoo forums, but no one really likes to use them and conversations obviously aren't as good as when they are real-time. Plus some peeps work blocks yahoo forums.

If the program is a plug in I could purchase then that would be sweet, since then I could just implement it in the pages I make via my web builder program (which is not as expensive as dreamweaver, etc.)

Its a customized module for VBulletin. It uses AJAX/PHP/MySQL (the tricky one being AJAX). Using this particular setup for what you want is really overkill.

I would recommend searching on hotscripts.com for something like "shoutbox" or "ajax shoutbox". Another option is to use Flashchat.

What I listed were names to search for on a free script website.

To run an online chat you need something to store the data that can be accessed by everyone, thats the SQL part. The PHP is for displaying the data in a web page, and the AJAX is what makes it realtime so the browser will refresh the data without have to reload the page.
