its like a sign-up fee to join the pyramid, and find people to pay the same, and you'll get a cut i guess. not too familiar with this business. i know someone thinking of joining to make some side income and that is what i heard

ok that may be the employment pay structure for the company but i highly doubt that is how you get the savings to the consumer of the utility.

Who in their right mind would pay $400 to make money?

That depends on the product/opportunity. I'm just trying to figure out how they make money if they are themselves re-selling energy they get from con ed.
