The only bad thing about that site is that everyone tells you to root your phone.

So I go to an AT&T store and they have no clue what's going on (even though when I called AT&T tech support they said to visit a store and there they would fix it for me...but no). Called Samsung, they also have no clue.

At this point I'm trying to figure out how I can back up all my apps. Meaning specifically things like game progression and stuff. I really dont wanna lose that stuff after a factory reset.

No, how would I do that?

I am not sure of the key combos on the note. Google "boot into recovery Samsung note 2" you will get it. You do it from powered off. It will bring you to a "BIOS" lets call it if you were on a computer. From there you will have options. I am not sure exactly what your options will be but you will have an option for "wipe". You want to wipe cache and dalvic cache.

The reboot will take longer since the device will need to reload the apps. It may or may not work. But worth. Shot

That is somewhat promising....

Here is what it says to do....

Ok, I seemed to have fixed it. Not sure which action it was because I was just doing everything I could to make it stop.

First thing I did was to turn off AT&T phonebook in my online account. Log into www.attwireless.com. Under MyAT&T tab, mouse over "Wireless" and select "Usage & Recent Activity". Scroll down to "Members Shared Usage" and click on "view details of the number you're working on. Scroll down to "Minute Detail" and right under that is "Phonebook" with the option to turn it on or off.

At the same time I was doing a lot of flailing around in the the phone. I was Settings page in Contacts and I deleted all the AT&T BS contacts it auto inserted into the phone.

I rebooted and it stopped trying to access that AT&T phonebook. Hope this helps.

It is for a GS3, but since the note is similar it will prob work for you....

Hmm that seems interesting, only that I cannot see "Members Shared Usage" anywhere.
I will try to look for it, but in the mean time, would something like this backup my game and the data stored in it?

Transfer the game to SD Card>>>>>Reset To Factory Settings>>>>Will the game data still be on the sd??

Out of curiosity, does the syncing issue occur over a wifi connection? or both cellular and wifi? Some people's post indicate they can cancel the sync while over cellular but not wifi.

If you get an app to move the app to SD card then yes the data should also move with it.....

What I would also do before you do the factory reset is again go into the recovery mode and then you can do a NANDROID backup. Then if you find that the factory reset did not work, you can restore the Nandroid backup and you are back to the way that you were.
