NY fans are the worst!!! The Knicks allowed him to go find out his market value, and when it ended up being more than they thought everyone calls the kid a traitor. Hey may be a bust so get the money while he can. I don't think anyone here would turn down 25 million dollars to play for the Rockets. Coming from a Yankee/Knicks fan.

definitely not worth $25m he is a by product of a mike dantoni offense anyone can thrive in it (except melo) this is a guy who played only 25gms and just for the record its the rockets not the suns as stated on post. cant judge this guy off 25gms and being cut by 3 teams (one of which was the team that just signed him) and going undrafted. if the knicks signed him it wouldnt have mattered anyway NO ONE is beating the heat. i rather save my money with the hopes of CP3 coming to the knicks. if not its just gonna be another lost year for the knicks as usual.

If the Knicks signed him it would of cost them 35 million on his 3rd year because it would have put them over the luxury tax. So 15 million plus 35 million? Yea the smart money was letting him walk. The Rockets paid so much because they are hoping to pack the house with Asian fans again like they did when Yao Ming was there. They are banking on him being a draw no so much as good.

For one, I love how some of the people talking about this thought he went to the Suns. If you want to be taken seriously, please get the info right.

Two, if the Knicks signed Lin's offer sheet, they could not trade him for a year, unless he approved the trade.

i actually give the knicks credit for not signing him. They have been getting bashed on the radio for not spending the money. Lin was a tremendous story before he got hurt, but only played what equates to a month of basketball before he got injured. Its too short of a sample size to pay that kind of money (3rd year killed it). i give Lin credit for making the, already in place, system work for him. He went from considering the Euro league to a very nice NBA contract. i hope he does well for Houston, seems like a grounded athlete with a head on his shoulders.
felton and kidd are def. not the answers as mainstay point guards. kidd is clearly at the tale end and felton is an average point...

u must not be a knicks fan if u said felton is garbage. amare and felton clicked before that melo deal what were u watching? everyone talks about how they shouldve matched and blah blah blah but if u had to pay $35mil in luxury tax would u? easy for u to say yeah cus u dont have the money but that aint pocket change. plus the salary cap hit wouldve been crazy. alone with just melo amare and lin wouldve been upwards to $45mil i think and thats just 3 players oh and i forgot chandler too. nah man houston can have Lin. if any of you yankee fans remember and im going way back Kevin Maas would u have given him $15mil a year after his little tour with the yankees the first time he came up? what happened to him? get outta here SAYONARA Lin
